A team of practice nurses and health care assistants hold
surgeries on weekday mornings and afternoons and provide a
range of services, including:
- ear syringing
- dressings
- treatment of leg ulcers
- blood tests, ecg’s and investigations
- travel advice and vaccinations (charges apply for
some of these)
- cervical smears
- contraceptive checks and fitting of IUCDs
- minor illness and minor injury
- chronic disease management including diabetes,
asthma, chronic heart disease
- other referrals from the doctors
